HapBio® Compostable earned two linked recognitions at InnoEx 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City. First, HAPBIO received the LOTTE Ventures Innovation Award, with an official total value of USD 10,000. In addition, HAPBIO joined the Top 5 of L-CAMP Vietnam 2026 – 1st Batch. LOTTE Ventures runs this program with Impact Square, a Korean open innovation and ESG organization. Together, both milestones bring compostable packaging closer to LOTTE’s business ecosystem in Vietnam.
A Stage Win With Commercial Weight
InnoEx 2026 took place on August 19–20 at Thiskyhall Sala, Ho Chi Minh City. Korean media reported around 30,000 visitors and 315 participating companies. On the main stage, LOTTE Ventures named HAPBIO a recipient of its Innovation Award.
However, the prize value is only part of the story. LOTTE Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of LOTTE Group. So its award signals interest from a group that operates retail, F&B and hospitality businesses. For a packaging supplier, that is a meaningful audience.
Inside L-CAMP Vietnam: Where Startups Meet LOTTE Affiliates
L-CAMP Vietnam 2026 is an open innovation program by LOTTE Ventures Vietnam. It runs in partnership with Impact Square under the KOICA IBS-ESG Initiative. Unlike classic accelerators, it focuses on real pilots rather than training alone.
Specifically, the program links startups with LOTTE affiliates in Vietnam. These include LOTTE Mart, LOTTERIA, LOTTE Cinema, LOTTE Hotel and LOTTE Global Logistics. Selected startups then work on Proof of Concept (PoC) projects from July to December 2026.
Top 5 of the First Batch: HAPBIO’s Pitch to LOTTE
L-CAMP Vietnam picked five startups for its first batch, and HAPBIO is one of them. The other four work in hospitality, beauty, customer data and music technology. As a result, HAPBIO stands as the only packaging manufacturer in the cohort.
At InnoEx, LOTTE Ventures and Impact Square ran a dedicated booth for the five companies. Then, on August 20, they hosted a Korea–Vietnam Open Innovation Day. There, each startup pitched its solution and growth strategy to LOTTE affiliates. HAPBIO presented PoC collaboration scenarios and discussed applications directly with LOTTE representatives. Finally, the program welcomed its first cohort at an official celebration ceremony.

Why a Corporate Pilot Matters for Packaging Buyers
A pilot answers questions that a product brochure cannot. Can the bags handle real store operations? Do they meet the brand’s size and print needs? Can the supplier provide documents for every environmental claim?
That is why L-CAMP matters beyond the award. It tests packaging in live commercial settings, not just on a booth table. For retail and F&B buyers, this kind of validation reduces sourcing risk.
