HAPBIO is proud to support green living education for the next generation. On October 7, 2026, Haplast Joint Stock Company joined School Tour 2026 as a companion partner.
Organised by the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), the event brought more than 1,000 students at Yen Vien Primary School, Phu Dong commune, Hanoi, into a day of learning about plastic waste, waste sorting and greener daily habits.
A day of learning green habits through play
School Tour 2026 follows a simple idea: children remember what they practise. Under the motto “Nurturing knowledge, awakening action”, students learned through activities rather than lectures.
The day opened with an expert talk on plastic waste and microplastics, built around everyday items such as water bottles and carrier bags. A Ring the Golden Bell quiz then reviewed waste sorting and the rule of reducing and reusing before recycling. At five game stations, students sorted common waste items into the correct bins, and more than 800 students entered the “Green Around Me” drawing contest.
Why HAPBIO supports green living education
For HAPBIO, greener packaging only works when people know how to use and dispose of it. The habits children build at school, such as sorting waste and reading labels, are the same habits that decide where a bag ends up after use.
This is especially true for compostable packaging, which is designed to biodegrade under defined composting conditions. Certified HapBio® products are intended for industrial or home composting, depending on each product’s certification, not for streets or rivers. Correct sorting is part of how they deliver their intended benefit.
HAPBIO also shares the programme’s starting point: reduce and reuse first. Compostable bags are an alternative to conventional single-use plastic where a single-use bag is still needed, such as kitchen waste, fresh produce or pet waste. To help end users dispose of them correctly, HAPBIO can print environmental messages and after-use disposal instructions on custom orders.
Spreading green habits beyond the school gate
Supporting community programmes is part of how HAPBIO turns its sustainability direction into everyday action. HAPBIO aims to gradually replace single-use plastic packaging by 2030 and targets a green packaging ecosystem toward Net Zero by 2050, as outlined in our vision and mission. These goals depend on informed consumers as much as on new materials.
School Tour 2026 follows HAPBIO’s participation in World Environment Day 2026. After Yen Vien Primary School, the programme plans to visit four more primary schools in Hanoi, and HAPBIO looks forward to seeing its message reach more students and families.
